More of the story.

"It was a huge, new construction project at 8,000 square feet. So many details. I had a hard time finding a designer in the Twin Cities, because most of the homes I saw in their portfolios just weren’t my taste.

Our whole house is an out of the ordinary home. We collect art, and everything needed to center around galleries and ways to show art. I travel a lot and collect my own pieces, so Pisa had to work with the artwork I had already found.

Kristen did our whole house, starting day one of the new construction. Every door handle, every tile, every color, every finish. We worked about once a week for about a year to get it all done. I loved the work boards she brought that showed the tile, wood, fabric, color and materials all put together. She’s so talented at mixing different fabrics and pieces I know I’d never think of myself. They look fantastic together.

What’s Kristen like to work with? She’s such a pleasant and easygoing person. Nothing ruffles her feathers. I was weary with a lot of designers because it seemed like it had to be their way, and I wanted it my way. Her other talent is how well she listens to the client. She doesn’t push her way or get insulted if you don’t like something. She’s very accommodating."
